Gloucester Genealogical Society to have guest speaker at March 26 meeting
Historian John Quarstein will speak at the Gloucester Genealogical Society meeting at the Abingdon Episcopal Church Parish House, 4645 George Washington Memorial Highway, Gloucester, at 10 a.m. March 26.
Quarstein is the author of Hampton and Newport News in the Civil War. He served as the director of The Virginia War Museum for 30 years. Quarstein has also worked as a consultant for the Mariners' Museum USS Monitor Center.
The meeting is free and open to the public.
