Marine science institute holding Inside to Seaside programs this summer
Virginia Institute of Marine Science is hosting Inside to Seaside on Fridays and Saturdays throughout the summer.
The program will give families the opportunity to look at animals in the Chesapeake Bay area by visiting the institute's aquarium area. The program will also feature collecting and seining on local beaches.
Participants should wear water shoes or sneakers that can get muddy or wet. Children under the age of 13 must be accompanied by an adult.
The next Inside to Seaside program will be held 6-8 p.m. June 19.
Pre-registration is required and space is limited.
The institute is located at Route 1208 Greate Road in Gloucester Point.
