Gloucester Arts On Main held watercolor portrait workshop
Gloucester Arts on Main held a watercolor portrait workshop Saturday, June 2, and Sunday, June 3.
The workshop was led by Jane Paul Angelhard and was attended by eight area artists.
Angelhard has worked designing and building stained glass windows for churches. Over the past 15 years, she has created more than 400 commissioned watercolor portraits and has work in the Andreeva Gallery. She has taught in the Andreeva Portrait Academy, the BACAA and the John Laurence Art School in Fredricksburg, Texas.
The artists who participated in the workshop used the same source to practice the techniques Angelhard was teaching, including painting on fabric to remove watercolor from a picture.
Gloucester Arts on Main, at 6580-B Main St. Gloucester, is open from noon to 6 p.m. Tuesdays to Saturdays.
