Matthews Post 83 holds flag disposal ceremony on June 14

Matthews Post 83 of the American Legion will be conducting a “Flag Disposal Ceremony” at 6:30 p.m. June 14 at the Post Home.

The ceremony is for people looking to properly dispose of worn, faded, torn or damaged flags of any kind.

People may drop off their flags in a collection box at the rear of the Post Home, Route 198, Hudgins, or at the Matthews Post Office, 161 Main St., Matthews.
