Children's Art Festival features Young Artists from Ware Academy
This summer’s Children’s Art Festival, held through mid-August at the Twice Told Tales Book Store, 6658 Main St., Gloucester, features more than 140 pieces of art by students of Ware Academy.
The Themes and Variations show, sponsored by the Phoenix Art Group, is open to the public during the store’s regular hours of 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Mondays through Saturdays.
Art pieces include pictures with paper-plate jellyfish, ceramic fish, and other real and imaginary sea creatures. The collection also includes stamped and colored tiles, and paper fish stuffed with cotton.
A $25 gift certificate from Twice Told Tales Book Store will be given to the People’s Choice Award winner.
The Phoenix Art Group is a non-profit group that promotes young artists in Gloucester with such events as the Children’s Art Festival and other shows during the year.
