Derek Green hired as Gloucester's real estate assessor
Gloucester has a new real estate assessor.
Derek Green has been hired to the position, as announced by Gloucester County Administrator Brenda Garton. Green has more than 11 years of management experience in real estate assessment. His background also includes nine years of working with Computer Assisted Mass Appraisal software and property tax systems. Previously, Green served as the chief assessor of real estate for Preble County, Ohio.
“We look forward to Mr. Green’s fresh look at our reassessment processes and procedures as he works with staff to implement our new mass appraisal software. His extensive experience with both mass appraisal and software systems will ensure that we fully utilize the Pictometry and Change Finder software tools to supplement ‘boots on the ground’ review of properties,” Garton said in the press release.
He will begin his duties with Gloucester on Monday, July 2, earning an annual salary of $82,000.
