Down on the Farm Tour scheduled for April 13

The Down on the Farm Tour, sponsored by Tidewater Soil and Water Conservation District, will be held Saturday, April 13.

The event will run from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The tour is free and open to the public.

According to a press release from Tidewater Soil and Water Conservation District, "We will have two featured sites which includes Timberneck Farm, located on the York River in Gloucester County, and Robert and Tracy Respess' farm, Twin Springs Farm, located in Mathews County. Areas of interest will include VA Agricultural Best Management Practices, long-leaf pines, wildlife plots, oyster reefs, low impact development and a cattle/grain farm operation."
